Every lesson is individually tailored to the swimmer's confidence level, experience, goals, learning, style, and progression. My aim is not only to develop swimming ability, but also to build lifelong water safety skills, correct technique, and genuine confidence in and around the water.

We just finished almost two weeks of swim instruction with Suzanne Harmatz (while on vacation in Florida) and I cannot overstate what a fantastic swim instructor she is. When describing her teaching technique, she said “I get to business right away, but we have fun" and that is exactly what we saw every day. My very easily distracted four year old was smiling and laughing but also actually listening and following instruction the entire lesson. When we told him he was going to take lessons he said “but I won’t put my head under water”, and mid-way through our time with Suzanne, he was not only putting his head under, he was swimming from one side of the pool to the other, floating and swimming on his back and jumping in. My husband and I were truly shocked. The best part was he had so much fun and gained so much confidence. My 2 and ½ year old daughter also got in for shorter lessons each day and she did amazingly well. We can’t wait to get back to Florida next year and get them both in lessons to continue working on their skills. For anyone looking for a swim instructor, do not hesitate to book Suzanne. She is absolutely amazing and we loved our time with her. We just wish we could move her up to Rhode Island!!
